1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of the UniCMMS platform, website, APIs, and mobile applications (collectively, "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of access.
UniCMMS reserves the right to update this AUP at any time. Continued use of the Services following notification of changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Permitted Uses
You may use the Services to:
- Manage assets, equipment, facilities, and maintenance activities for your organization
- Create and track work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and inspections
- Manage inventory and spare parts for maintenance operations
- Generate reports and analyze maintenance performance data
- Collaborate with team members within your authorized organization
- Integrate the Services with other business systems using our documented APIs
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Services to:
3.1 Illegal Activities
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Engage in or facilitate any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities
- Violate the intellectual property rights of others
- Process or store data in violation of applicable data protection laws
3.2 Harmful Content
- Upload, transmit, or store malicious code, viruses, ransomware, or any harmful software
- Upload content that is defamatory, abusive, threatening, obscene, or harassing
- Store or transmit content that violates the privacy rights of any individual
- Distribute unsolicited commercial communications (spam) via any feature of the Services
3.3 System Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, accounts, or systems
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without explicit written authorization
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security measures, access controls, or authentication systems
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers without express written permission
- Engage in denial-of-service attacks or any activity that disrupts the Services
- Impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Services infrastructure
3.4 Account Misuse
- Share account credentials with unauthorized individuals outside your organization
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or access restrictions
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use another user's account without authorization
3.5 Commercial Restrictions
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Services to third parties without written authorization
- Use the Services to build a competing product or service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services
- Benchmark the Services for competitive purposes without written consent
4. API Usage
If you use the UniCMMS API, additional rules apply:
- You must comply with all rate limits specified in our API documentation
- API credentials must be kept confidential and not shared publicly
- You may not use the API to extract bulk data in a manner that damages service performance
- All API usage must be for legitimate integration purposes aligned with your subscription
5. Data Storage Guidelines
You are responsible for the data you upload to UniCMMS. You agree not to store:
- Payment card data (PCI DSS regulated) in non-designated fields
- Health records or other specially protected categories of personal data without appropriate safeguards
- Personal data of individuals who have not consented to its storage
- Data that you do not have the legal right to store and process
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, we encourage you to report it immediately:
- Security vulnerabilities: security@unicmms.com
- Abuse reports: abuse@unicmms.com
- General compliance: legal@unicmms.com
7. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this AUP may result in, at UniCMMS's sole discretion:
- Warning notification to the account administrator
- Temporary suspension of the offending user's access
- Suspension of the entire account
- Permanent termination of the subscription without refund
- Reporting to law enforcement authorities where required by law
We will consider the severity, intent, and impact of the violation when determining appropriate action. We will attempt to provide notice before taking action unless the violation is severe or ongoing.
8. No Liability for User Content
UniCMMS is not responsible for the content uploaded or transmitted by users. However, we reserve the right to review and remove content that violates this AUP or our Terms of Service.
